Dr. Michael Caligiuri is director of The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center and CEO of the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. He attended Stanford University School of Medicine where he obtained a Masters degree in Physiology and his Medical Doctorate. Dr. Caligiuri completed his internal residency at Harvard Medical School.
More than 100 Ohio State students have trained in the Caligiuri laboratory and have received state, national and international awards for their research. Dr. Caligiuri has designed and conducted more than 20 clinical studies for leukemia and lymphoma patients and more than 400 original publications, abstracts and review articles on immunology or leukemia. In 2010 Dr. Caligiuri received a MERIT award from the National Cancer Institute for his work in human immunology.
